Now, we know why N was afraid of the word coward. Very well put together.

Looking forward to the ...

When you see that feather falling to the ground, you just know. Very good example of foreshadowing!

HeRetiK responds:

I call it Chekhov's bird

Y asking Why and Q revealing the final Question. Saw that coming.
But placing N in the scene with F and the other letters on the wall was very clever indeed.

It's well made but the sound definitely needs more work. The voices are unbalanced, unarticulated and therefore hard to understand. Especially those with an effect on it. The robot is way too distorted and loud, and he's speaking all the time, very annoying. And I feel, there is too much compression. The sound effects overlapping the voices are too loud too.

Makes the movie unwatchable for me unfortunately. If you'd fix it, it could be a solid 5 stars.

Instant five stars. Cool style!

Couln't have ended any other way. Great storytelling and timing!

In awe.

Now the title makes sense. I had a laugh!

fantastique!

I can't give you a low score, your animation is good. We have seen the 12 principles being demonstrated several times before and it is always nice to see them being repeated. I always hope though to see someone doing it one day in a unique way which is not just repeat-after-me.

Which brings me to a more serious note. Your animations (I mean all of then, also those on your YT) are not bad. You may not be the greatest animator yet but that is not the real issue I see. Your animations lack a little "inventiveness". One could also say "boldness" or "uniqueness". You follow basic principles like intro-setup-joke-outro or reiterate on memes or one-liners (serial-swiper, a fun idea but that is it: a one-liner).

I would encourage you to do stories. Invent them, dream of them, read about them, listen to people. And then write a proper script. Show it to someone and listen to his critique. Doesn't need to be 10 minutes long. 60 seconds of story are plenty. Don't care about intro and outro, they are secondary, 3 seconds max. And don't plan series, do finished pieces.

One of the principles is appeal. In my opinion, that contains the full animaition package and the overall message delivered. Focus your energy into the parts which support that message. Everything else is bonus.

Since more than twenty years, Newgrounds is the place I spend some minutes every day to get inspiration.
